"My husband and I have lived in this house for 19 years and are extremely concerned about the drainage system. As the rain continues to fall, our fears are growing "Kathia Camacho, Pedroso's wife, confirmed this.
"We're allowing people to come and pick up the bags that we've already filled. We're doing everything we can to help the people in our community "Drolin Celestin, the manager of Little Haiti Park, said.Peggy Jimenez drove up to Grapeland Park and picked up 10 bags of sand.
"I'm going to buy 10 bags of sand to keep my garage dry in the event of another storm. That's all that matters, and I'm good at it "She said.As a result of closely monitoring the news and alerts, residents were well aware of the potential damage that up to 7 inches of rain could cause.
