Youth, 14, charged in relation to online threats that closed 2 Leduc schools
A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with online threats that forced the closure of two Leduc schools.
Multiple charges have been laid against a 14-year-old Leduc resident after threats were made last week against two schools in the Black Gold School Division
"Extreme caution" prompted the closure of Ecole Leduc Junior High School and Leduc Composite High School on Friday while the RCMP investigated a social media post that threatened "gun violence against staff and students," according to the district.
Four counts of uttering threats and two counts of mischief are being brought against the teen, who has not been identified.There is no more information that can be released at this time, according to a statement issued by the Mounties on Sunday afternoon.
